Ramie Ford
Ramie Ford, the facility director at SPI Madison, has had an extensive career in baseball. After playing at Amory High School, Ford worked his way up through the ranks of college ball, playing one year at a Kansas junior college and three years as a pitcher at the University of Mississippi. After finishing at Ole Miss, Ford was a minor league pitcher for seven years. Following his playing career, Ford worked for six years as an Associate Scout for the Atlanta Braves and for 31 years as the Mississippi State Commissioner for Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken leagues, where he served approximately 15,000 players annually. As a result of his excellence in baseball, Ford was inducted into the Mississippi and Southwest Region Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.
In addition to his time in baseball, Ford has worked in a variety of administration roles, including as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the cities of Tupelo, Jackson, and Brandon. He now works as the general manager of the Brandon Amphitheater, Director of SPI Madison, and is the owner of RF Outdoor Consulting, a project management business specializing in the construction of baseball and softball complexes.
